Waste Separation Training at Kao Phitak Municipal School, Hua Hin.
Bringing Environmental Education into Everyday Learning
On 28 May 2026, Go Beyond Dreams continued the School Waste Separation Project by delivering a full-day waste separation training program at Kao Phitak Municipal School in Hua Hin.
The program officially opened at 9:00 AM, led by Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, Mayor of Hua Hin Municipality, together with the Director of Kao Phitak Municipal School, representatives from Go Beyond Dreams, and members of the local community.
Community leaders from Kao Phitak Community and Saphan Khee Lek Community also joined the event, demonstrating a shared commitment to environmental education and sustainable community development.
This collaborative effort reflects how schools, local government, and communities can work together to inspire the next generation to care for the environment.
Building Environmental Awareness from an Early Age
The training program was designed specifically for primary school students, using interactive and age-appropriate learning activities.
During the morning session, Grade 4 students explored the importance of waste separation, while the afternoon session welcomed Grade 5 students to continue the learning journey.
Led by the Go Beyond Dreams team and teachers from Kao Phitak Municipal School, the sessions introduced students to the four waste categories, the importance of recycling, and how simple daily actions contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable community.
Learning Through Real-Life Practice
Following the classroom sessions, students took part in practical waste separation activities where they applied what they had learned by sorting different types of waste into the correct color-coded waste separation stations.
This hands-on experience helped transform environmental knowledge into everyday action, allowing students to build confidence while understanding how proper waste management can make a positive difference in their school and community.
By learning through experience, students are more likely to develop habits that continue long after the training program has ended.
Connecting Sustainability with Healthy Habits
Sustainability extends beyond protecting the environment, it also includes caring for our own health.
After completing the waste separation activities, students were encouraged to wash their hands correctly. The Go Beyond Dreams team demonstrated proper handwashing techniques, reinforcing the importance of hygiene after handling waste.
Combining environmental education with healthy daily practices helps students understand that responsible behavior benefits both people and the planet.
Growing a Sustainable Future Together
The School Waste Separation Project, running from February to June 2026, brings together Go Beyond Dreams, Hua Hin Municipality, local schools, teachers, students, and community leaders to create a long-term culture of environmental responsibility.
By combining education, practical experience, and community collaboration, the project aims to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become environmental ambassadors within their schools, families, and communities.
